Baby Noah Birth Day
So I went to the doctor on May 6th and we discussed inducing. We decided to induce on my actual due date which was May 10th. Me and Aaron were so excited when we left the doctor's office we just couldn't stop smiling! We had to be at the hospital at 4:30 Monday morning! It all became so real when we got up that morning that baby Noah would be here VERY soon! We were so excited we couldn't sleep. At about 5:15am I was finally hooked up to the pitocin and they were tracking Noah's heartbeat and my contractions. My doctor came in at about 8:45 and broke my water. From that point on we just had to wait. I was a slow go at dilating and it felt like it was taking forever. Throughout the day I think Aaron got more nervous because apparently at one point he locked the keys in the car! I got my epidural at about 1 something almost 2 after being in labor for almost 5 hours. I figured might as well go ahead and get it before my contractions start getting too bad. After I got it I felt NOTHING it was nice. I tried to sleep but with everyone in my room talking and wanting to watch TV it was kind of hard. FINALLY when I got to a 5 later on in the evening I thought geez I still have to get to 10! About an hour later I was already at an 8!! Once I got to an 8 they started to scare me though because I had a fever and they were concerned. They just brought in some antibiotics to put in through my IV and really didn't explain anything in detail to me just looked concerned kept checking my temp and hooked me up the antibiotics. Then they told me if Noah had a fever he would have to go straight to the nursery I wouldn't have even gotten to see him yet. After all that it was finally time to push. After about an hour and a half of pushing at 10:32pm baby Noah was welcomed into the world at a whopping 9lbs 14oz and 22 1/4 in.! One thing I wish would have been different though is I wish me and Aaron would have at least gotten some time alone with him as soon as he was born instead of everyone coming into the room and taking pictures. We really didn't get that moment of experiencing him for the first time together. All in all my labor wasn't bad at all it was really easy just long. I would do it again in a heartbeat though! Noah couldn't be more perfect!
